Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited 174 candidates to apply in the latest Express Entry draw, exclusively for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). To qualify, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 816.

Express Entry draws have occurred for two consecutive weeks.

Last week, 1,933 ITAs were issued to candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), PNP, and French-language proficiency streams.

Next year, IRCC plans to welcome 124,680 Express Entry immigrants, with 82,000 admissions dedicated to the new In-Canada Focus category, primarily for CEC candidates but also including FSWP, FSTP, and PNP streams.

The remaining 41,700 admissions will target candidates in in-demand professions under the Federal Economic Priorities category.

What is Express Entry?

Express Entry is Canada’s system for managing applications for three key immigration programs: the CEC, FSWP, and FSTP.

Applicants are ranked using the CRS, which scores them on factors like age, job skills, language ability, education, and work experience.

Extra points are given for having a sibling in Canada, applying with a spouse, or combining education and work experience from Canada and abroad.

A provincial nomination through an enhanced PNP stream adds 600 CRS points, boosting the chances of receiving an ITA.

Those with the highest CRS scores are most likely to be invited in future Express Entry draws, based on specific criteria.
